About UsAbout FoSCC
The Friends of Sunnyside Community Center is a nonprofit organization formed to steward the historic building at 3520 SE Yamhill Street, Portland, Oregon. Our goal is to keep this landmark active, accessible, and financially sustainable for the nonprofits and community groups who depend on it.
The Building
Built in 1905, the 47,000 square foot Sunnyside Community Center is a Portland historic landmark serving a diverse community of nonprofit and arts organizations.
Current Tenants
- Sunnyside Shower Project — free showers and hygiene services for people experiencing homelessness
- NW Documentary — documentary film education and community screenings
- Nyback Archive — preservation of Dennis Nyback's historic 16mm film collection (OPB, Oregon ArtsWatch)
- Lunch Bunch AA — open AA meetings serving the Sunnyside neighborhood
- Local Artists — studio space for Portland artists including LeBrie Rich (fiber/sculpture) and Candace Jahn (visual art)
